Cookies

When you sign in, KimonComply gives your browser a single cookie called better-auth.session_token. Over a secure connection your browser will show it with a __Secure- prefix in front of that name, which is the same cookie with extra protection asked of the browser.

It holds a random reference to your signed-in session on our server. It does not hold your name, your email address, your password or anything you have typed into the product. Your browser sends it back to us with each request so we know it is still you, which is the only reason it exists.

• •It is set only after you sign in, never before.
• •It lasts about a week, and signing out removes it straight away.
• •It is marked so that other websites cannot read it and so that scripts in your browser cannot read it either.

That is the complete list. If we ever set a second cookie, it will be named on this page before it is set.

• •No advertising, and no advertising cookies or pixels of any kind.
• •No analytics, so nothing here counts your clicks, records your screen or measures how long you looked at a page.
• •No tracking across other websites, and no profile of you sold, shared or handed to anyone.
• •No third-party script running on these pages that could set a cookie of its own.

The rules on cookies ask for your agreement before a website sets anything that is not strictly necessary. Ours is strictly necessary in the plainest sense of the phrase: without it you cannot stay signed in, so there would be no product to use. A banner asking permission to keep you signed in would be a box to click and nothing more, and it would be the first thing you saw on a site whose job is to be straight with you.

So there is no banner, and this page is the explanation instead. If we ever add anything that watches how you use KimonComply, or anything to do with advertising, then this decision expires: a proper consent banner would go up first, and this page would be rewritten before it did.

Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under settings or preferences. You are welcome to block ours. The only consequence is that you will not be able to stay signed in, so the product will not work for you.
